Buddleja davidii 'Fortune' is an old introduction, released to cultivation in 1936 and accorded the RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM) in 1969. [1].

'Fortune' grows to a height of 2 m, and is distinguished by its profusion of extraordinarily long (30 - 40 cm) terminal panicles of soft lilac flowers with orange eyes. The foliage is unremarkable, and typical of the species. [1][2]
'Fortune' is no longer common in cultivation. USDA zones 5 - 9. [3] In the UK, a specimen is grown as part of the NCCPG national collection held by Longstock Park Nursery near Stockbridge.
